Filled Under: ooo goodies!
Just wanted to tell you how I’m feeling.
Some day, I needed to show this to someone. Guess now’s as good a time as any.
This is the world we live in.
Hi all! It’s late and I’m testing a blog app on my phone…if you can read this, it worked. Good night! :-)
I can haz MINI?
I was looking up the names of colors on the MINI website, and I couldn’t help but build on to my liking…again. I want.
Hangin’ ‘round, downtown by myself, and I’ve had too much caffeine…
And I was thinkin’ ‘bout myself and there she was.
In platform double suede, yeah there she was.
Like a disco lemonade…

NOTE TO SELF: When tethering on your laptop, save your work more often than usual. Trust me, I’m you.
Now, let’s start again…
It’s a deceptively beautiful day out today. The sun is shining, it has been all day and cloud cover is only now starting to appear. The sky was a bright blue, the kind that makes you want to go outside and revel in the outdoors and all of nature’s glory, no matter what you’re activity of choice is. The deceptive part is that it’s –12 deg C outside and there’s a good breeze goin’ on too.
Aside from that, it’s been months since last I posted anything of significance, so I’ll try to fill in the gap because there were some bigger events in there.
So you just sit there, stuck, afraid to risk reality…
Afraid to cause yourself more pain, to face insanity
But nothing ventured, nothing gained
You see… your fear’s your cage…
Heyo! just testing out another piece of software to blog from my laptop instead of going directly to the site. Hope it goes ok. I need to redo the site anyways, I broke it when I tried to use Adobe’s program for the last post. I forget which it is, Contribute maybe?…*googles*…yup, that’s the one. it was nice, powerful, but a pain. and it didn’t work how I wanted it to. perhaps I should give it more of a chance, but it broke my blog layout and I can’t see where the problem that it created lies so I’m in no hurry to do so.
Anyhoo…I’m posting this one in Microsoft’s newer app, part of the Windows Live suite of free apps, Windows Live Writer. It connected easy and gave me no errors related to the post format (which is what Contribute did).
Pass out at three, wake up at ten. Go out to eat, then do it again
I’m a frakking cylon!
But in other news, I got bored and was playing around on Trek’s site. I came across this customizing area and I made this bike. I love it. Can you give me $6G? I’ll let you take it for a spin every now and then. If you cant’ tell, it’s purple flames with royal blue outlining on top of obsidian blue background. The tires are blue and everything else is black. with some white/silver here and there. I won’t go into component details because at this point, they mean nothing to me. Inscribed on the top tube just in front of the seat tube is a surname, Rummnaheim, which I’ve been using for my fantasy characters since my first D&D character. But enough about that, because I’ll probably never buy a road bike in that price range, I don’t ride enough to justify it.
Try an enchilada with a fish Baccalà
Hey Mambo!
*Warning* My thoughts were kind of jumbled when writing this. I jump around a little.
Went for a ride to chocolate fest yesterday. It was such a gorgeous day, I could have ridden for hours. Of course Chocolatefest was also clogged with so many people not paying attention to the world around them, that I could have also clubbed people over the head for hours. M’eh.
I’m so addicted to all the things you do…
As is evident by my lack of posting, I have been finding it hard to keep on the task of updates. Today, I just don’t fee the urge to post anything long, just the urge to share something. So, I leave you with this picture —>
and a recipe:
Delicious, Delicious Granola
3 Cups of Oats (quick or traditional)
½ cup Sunflower seeds Raw
½ cup Pecan Pieces Raw
½ cup Pepitas Raw
½ cup Blanched Almond Slices
½ cup Honey
1 oz. Unsalted Butter
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
½ tsp. Salt (Kosher is best)
½ cup of dried fruit (suggestions: Cranberries, Raisins, or Diced Apricots)
Optional: ¼ cup packed Light Brown Sugar.
Butter 2 9×9 baking pans and set them aside.
Preheat the oven to 350°.
Mix the oats pecans, almonds, sunflower seeds, and pepitas in a bowl and spread them evenly over a baking sheet. Place in oven and toast for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
While the dry ingredients roast, combine the honey, butter, vanilla extract and salt in a medium saucepan. Place over medium heat and cook until mixed evenly (if you use the brown sugar, continue until it is completely dissolved).
Remove the oat mixture from the oven and reduce the oven temp to 300°. Immediately add the oat mixture to the liquid mixture and dried fruit and stir to mix evenly. Turn mixture out into the prepared dishes and place them in the oven to bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool near room temperature. Break up into an air tight container and enjoy for up to a week.
