Hold the S because I am an ain’t.
It’s late Sunday night and of course, I’m thinking. I’m still trying to get back to where I was before I took a week off to go up north. I’m moving in the right direction, but I feel like I’m doggy-paddling my way against the current. Too bad I’ve never been a strong swimmer, like Jon. I wonder how good he is nowadays, I don’t think he does much swimming lately, but I could be mistaken.
My most recent trip out of the area saw me in Manitowoc, WI for the marriage of Travis Waack (pronounced Wok) to Melissa. It was a simple ceremony at a small Lutheran church. Her dress was beautiful. I don’t quite know how to describe it except strapless and sort of wrap-like in the top, flowing into a typical medium length train. The reception was nice too. Buffet style and a D.J. with the bridal party up on a riser in the front of the room. The nums were tasty, my favorite being the potatoes. Between the wedding and reception, Jackie and I did the last minute gift thing. They were registered at Wal-Mart, so we were able to see what was left on their list, and shop appropriately. I also needed a belt because I’m lame and left mine on my bed at home.
The trip up was a bit later than we had wanted to get going, so as we got past Sheboygan on I43, I nearly fell asleep. Thank goodness for the Dunkin Donuts stop we made earlier. The hotel was nice, it had a large flat screen TV, everything was clean, and the room was quite large.
Before coming back, we went over to the Harley shop right next to the hotel and spent about an hour looking at gear and bikes. It’s a really nice shop, and they’ve got a wide selection of bikes at what seems to be really good prices. They had a train of bikes hanging from the ceiling too, circling the room. I’m pretty sure one of those bikes was following me, eve time I looked up, there it was above me.
There was more to my weekend that that trip, but it’s now waaaaay past my bedtime and I need to get some sleep. Hopefully, I’ve flexed my brain enough to get it there.

Nah not too much swimming anymore. Would like to but the hours of the pools up here suck and seem to be only when I’m working. Still pretty quick but not like my former self.
